When I setup IP connection restrictions to block a sub-net from trying to authenticate and connect to the server this works effectively but generates a banner back to the source system revealing the server name and MailEnable version details. I am running version 10.31. I would prefer to not give the spammer even more details about the server for them to try their best to get in .
Any suggestions welcome
Thanks Brian

Re: SMTP IP Connection Restrictions and 530 Banner
Hi,
The latest beta release on our beta page contains a change for this for the returned response for denied access. It will now respond like the example below masking the server host name and MailEnable version details:
530 IP x.x.x.x denied access to SMTP at 03/03/21 10:39:34
