Hi,

Open a Windows command prompt on the MailEnable server and perform a telnet test to smtp1.receiverdomain.com on port 25 to see if you are able to get a response. the 10060 means a timeout trying to connect to the remote server.

Thank you for reply. We wrote telnet command like "telnet smtp1.receiverdomain.com 25" and got error.
Connecting To smtp1.receiverdomain.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 25: Connect failed.

But we tested a few times and could get response sometimes. :?

Hi,

Have tried doing the same telnet test from a client machine outside your network where the MailEnable is situated? Just trying to eliminate network connectivity. If the same behavior occurs outside your network then it will be the remote mail server your connecting to that has intermittent problems.

Yes we tested telnet with same remote hosts at other server. It worked properly and got all responses.

Hi,

You mentioned, "But we tested a few times and could get response sometimes. :?", if the problem is intermittent there is not much we can do to help as it looks to be connectivity problems with the remote server at the time the message is being sent. Check to see if the message sits in the SMTP outbound queue and is retried and sent at a later time when the remote server is contactable again.
