MELogAnalyser.exe - where it searches for logs?

Post by labsy »

Hi,
I need to process old ME logs on my old machine, which does not have ME installed anymore. I have SMTP logs in some folder, and I tried to run MELogAnalyser.exe to process those logs.
But MELogaAnalyser does not see any log file.

I tried to create full path
C:\Program Files\Mail Enable\Logging\SMTP
and put old logs in there, but Analyser still does not recognise them.

What should I do to process logs without installing ME on this machine?

The location of the logs are discovered by checking the following registry key;

HKLM->Software->MailEnable->MailEnable->Connectors->SMTP->Debug Log File Directory

When you move the log files over do you see them listed in the left hand panel?

Nope, I don't. But this might be because I only have W3C logs, without Activity and Debug logs. As I see on my production server, only SMTP-Debug logs are listed, so I am afraid that I won't be able to analyse my old W3C logs alone.
