Outlook 2002 XP Contacts to ME Professional

Post by greddin »

I need some direction. I read a knowledge base article that show two ways to export contacts from Outlook to ME. I downloaded the MEContactMgr from the 3rd Party Utilities. When I try to connect through it I get this error message "Server does not seem to support remote contact administration or does not have any contact defined. You may have also specified an invalid password".

Secondly, does Outlook 2002 XP export to VCF? I can't see where it does. My wife has over 50 contacts that I would like to help her get into ME.

Thanks for any tips.

Did you set this up as a httpmail account or a pop3 account?

As I recall, it requires an httpmail account in Outlook /OE.

Yes, I have setup an HTTPMail account in Outlook XP. No problems there. Thanks.

I also have been unable to get the MEcontact manager to work properly.

I can actually get the program to connect, but I am unable to drag and drop any of my contacts into it.

I'm using Outlook 2003, and to export to VCF, you can only do 1 contact at a time. You have to open each contact, go to file, and select export to v-card file. A real pain in the @$$.
