AV Pricing

Post by jfenwickar » Tue Oct 24, 2006 3:06 pm

I am not sure what kind of pricing people are using to compare....

AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 and AVG Anti-Malware 7.5 (Ewido) as a bundle is $13 for a 2 year license per machine for me. If people are paying substantially more, let me know and I will set up a store and make some $.

AVG free simply quits installation if it detects a server-OS.

AVG for Server

Post by jfenwickar » Sat Jan 06, 2007 5:45 pm

I use AVG Anti-Malware 7.5 Network Edition. It has no problems with servers and allows you to manage scanning on the folder or file level.

2 Year License is still $13

I swear by F-Prot. I bought the ten user license to protect all my computers for $50 a year. No other solution offers low price, multiple computers, installs on servers that I can find. My only complaint about F-Prot is the update fails once in a while and puts up an error box that you have to clear before it will update again. This sucks if you don't see the error for a couple of days.

I also have been using F-Prot and the issue you mention is one I have taken up with the developer. I have a number of emails saying it will be resolved in the next version, but it never has.

Why not Eset's Nod32??

Post by Luniel » Sun Jan 28, 2007 9:11 pm

Eset's Nod32 is, in my (not so humble) opinion, one of the best antivirus solutions on the market. It's not bloated and they have the best response time in the industry.

Why is there no support for this by MailEnable??
