does iis automatically run asp?

I am having trouble with my webmail. the virtual dir is set right. know because i put a dummt html file in the webmail dir, and it reads fine. however, when i try to run default.asp, the site hangs??help!?!?!

Disable Norton script blocking !!!!! And then restart computer
