Upgrade to Pro

Post by Pilly170 »

Hi,

Ive just upgraded to the professional version. 8.60
When I try to look at the anti virus settings or filters in KB articles it points to things that I dont have

ie. Expand the Servers >Local host >Filters branch,
http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/vi ... D=ME020199

I have System, Conenctors, Agents,Services, Extensions.

Im also unable to enable filters as I dont have this option.

Any ideas?

Assuming you upgraded from the Standard edition, make sure you are running the Professional msc which is different to the Standard one.

Hi,

I have both MMCs available. The newer looking one still doesnt have a filters option under localhost

Check for Message Filter under Extensions in localhost. I also have filters on my Enterprise system under Filters in Messaging Manager, should be the same in yours.

Brett

How can I tell if my filters are enabled?

Ive created filters in Messaging Manager > Filters
If I use the standard MMC it says the filters are disabled.

All my filters have Enabled as their status. Right-click one of your filters and select Enable from the menu to see if the status changes.

I assume you are trying to filter on outgoing mail. All my filters are for incoming mail so I can't help you there.

Cheers,
Brett
