[SOLVED] local SPF rules whitelist policy for gmx.ch

Postby hostfactory.ch » Wed Mar 30, 2016 10:51 am

hello,

i have activated "reject mails from connections which fail SPF", but i want to allow forwardings from one of our mail enable servers to a 2nd one for mails from connections which fail SPF. to get it i did enable "local SPF whitelist policy".

but the problem is, that local whitelist policy does only apply if the "all" keyword is found, so for senders in the name of "gmx.ch" it seems not to work:

Code: Select all

# host -t txt gmx.ch
gmx.ch descriptive text "v=spf1 redirect=gmx.net"

gmx.ch does redirect to gmx.net, but gmx.ch itself does not have "all" in its SPF-record:

Code: Select all

554 This server requires you to send from an IP address specified by the SPF for gmx.ch.

i wonder, what i can do, to allow forwardings from our own servers to another ones for messages in the name of "gmx.ch".
any ideas?

regards,
andy

Hi,

How about adding the incoming IP address of the server to the SMTP "Whitelist" which will bypass the SPF check for that IP address?
