[SOLVED] MigrationCentre has Stopped Working

Hi,

I am running ME 8 Pro on an old W2K8 server and wanting to migrate to a new W2K12 R2 server, which is brand new server, setup yesterday.
I have installed ME 8 Pro (last release) on the new server.
I have a test postoffice/domain/mailbox on the old server which I imported and then I have attempted to import messages using the ME Migration Wizard, choosing Generic Internet Mail Server (IMAP).

I go through the options and select the test domain, but can't get it to work at all. The best status I get is authentication errors (the mailbox/password is definitely correct and the same on both servers (imported in step above).

However, in many tries, I often get the standard windows "program has crashed" pop up box with the message
"MigrationCentre has Stopped Working" with the details as per below.

Anything I can do to get this working? I was hoping that the migration centre would include a direct option to migrate from and to mail enable, but this should work shouldn't it?

I'm getting a similar issue with Migration Centre. However it is able to connect to the accounts, only certain accounts have authentication issues, even though I have checked the auth details. They do seem to connect in the end. Is this maybe a Server 2012 issue that needs addressing?

Hi,

There were fixes made to the provider dlls for the migration utility in version 9. The version 8 kits have not been finalized for release which contain the updated dlls. Therefore you can download the dlls via the links below and steps to apply:

Steps:

1. Download:
http://www.mailenable.com/hotfix/MEAIAU_32.zip
http://www.mailenable.com/hotfix/MEAIAU_64.zip
2. Stop all the MailEnable services by executing the mestop.bat file within the MailEnable "BIN" folder.
3. In the "BIN" folder rename the MEAIAU.dll to: MEAIAU.dll.bak or move the dll out of the folder.
4. Extract the contents of the MEAIAU_32.zip to the BIN folder.
5. Repeat the process for the MEAIAU.dll located within the BIN64 folder if running Windows 64bit platform.
6. Execute the mestart.bat located within the BIN folder to restart all services.

Thanks Ian,

Does need to be done just on the new server or on the old server as well (in my case the old server is running W2k8)?
I assume just the new server..
