Upgrading from Version 3 to Version 9

Post by tcshavasu »

I have a rented Server 2008 R2 and have been using Version 3 for 5 years or so with no problems.
3 days ago everything went wonky.
I plan to update to Version 9... but I know I will have to re-enter all the Postoffice info and Mailboxes.
Will I be able to transfer the messages in those mailboxes to the new version by copying them or is there a transfer option in the new version?
Any info will be helpful.
I suppose worst case I can notify everyone and make sure they have retrieve all messages before the change over.

Thanks

Hi,

The procedure involved in migrating MailEnable configuration and data from one server to another is explained in a step by step guide in the following article. You can apply the same procedure in your scenario when upgrading to a newer version as the data and config will be the same.
