Mailbox index is being rebuilt automatically

Post by redrobot »

This has been occuring since a week or two now, almost on a daily basis. For two mailboxes (in the same postoffice), the mailbox index file (_index.xml) is being rebuilt automatically. For the user this results in their mailbox being empty, and after a while mails start coming in again and all mails are marked as Unread. The mailboxes are connected through IMAP.

When I check on the filesystem, I see a newly created _index.xml.bak and _index.xml file. I don't see any irregularities in the MailEnable or Windows event logs.

I don't have a clue how to solve this, so any help is appreciated.

Hi,

You will need to upgrade to version 8.61 from the link below to eliminate problems in the 8.55 your running. Its a free upgrade and requires minimal downtime.
