SPF and returned mails!?

Post by json »

Am I missing something, or does ME (with SPF) have a problem with returned messages?

In my quarantine list I get more and more messages that was returned to the mail server because the recipient did not exist (or the like). All these messages seems to be caught in the SPF filtering on the server, but why?

When I read this header, it looks like the message, coming from "somehost.tld", is being returned to the postmaster on my domain, but why is it marked as "SPF fail"?? Why is the message compared to the SPF record on my domain, it's not my domain sending this message, but recieving it!

Support, any ideas?

regards, and tia!
