HTML Edit of messages

Post by lukaszb »

Has anyone implemented the ability to compose messages with HTML? If so what components did you use. This is becoming an increasingly more important issue for us as more and more users are asking for it.

Thanks!

What about using Outlook and HTTPmail?

I need solutions, not substitutions. Outlook along with HTTPMail won't work because not every user has it. There is also a number of people who have access through cafe's, etc (mainly students), so Outlook for them is not an option.

My apologies master. Why don't you go through and modify the webmail code, or are you too bull-headed for such a task?

If ME would have completely worked it would have been a freakin' mirracle!

I did modify the code, but there is a bug in ME Pro where it doesn't send the HTML messages as HTML but in plain text. Even when you set the oMessage.ContentType="text/html;" it doesn't work, and attachments... a nightmare. The attachments with "text/html" enabled go out as a part of a message in plain text form and not actual attachment.

Apparently this bug was discovered in version 1.19...we are in 1.54! Still hasn't been fixed.
