RC2

Post by Keith G »

Hi group - I downloaded RC2 and have been testing with it - have had a lot of good results with the issues I was having (list server stuff, etc).

Anyone else had good/bad experiences?

This means that your DLL and COM objects got unregistered. You will need to register them with the system again and see if it helps.

I manually removed MailEnable Component Services following instructions in this article.
After manual component registration, WebMail works without problems.

I only encountered double COM+ Components:
+ IIS-{Administration Web Site//ROOT/MEAdmin}
+ IIS-{Administration Web Site//ROOT/MEAdmin}
+ IIS-{AdminPage//ROOT/MEWebMail}
+ IIS-{AdminPage//ROOT/MEWebMail}
+ Mail Enable
+ Mail Enable Administration

It seems that ME 1.6 beta RC2 installattion program has problems with removing old components.
Should I remove one of the doubled components manually? And Which ones?

If you read this topic, you'll find at least one problem. But nothing critical, I hope.

Apparently, there is an issue relating to SPF that is causing crashing that is still to be resolved - but as always... closer.

Andrew,

Is it related to the marking of SPF or how it processes SPF failures etc? If it is the process, then disable that function and let it rip..

You can always send out an update in a patch or 1.61.

:shock:
