mail queue list

Postby mohanmathew » Mon Dec 07, 2009 2:47 pm

Is there anyway that I could get the complete list of I/O queue using any API. If we can get a list using the vbscript that would be great.

Thank You

Do you mean operating system IO queue lengths (like disk io queue length) or do you mean the length of mailenable message queues?

Assuming its the first, then windows will have perfmon couters that be accessed to queried to report operating system statistics.

Example: http://www.visualbasicscript.com/m46704.aspx

There is no exposed API for iterating through the queues. You would have to use VBscript to list the files in the queue directory itself (Eg: Program Files\Mail Enable\Queues\SMTP\Outbound).

that we do have. but my exact requirement is to tackle down the spamming users from mail count in the queue for last say 1 or 2 minutes based on the headers. so if there is some kind of API that we will able to fetch the exact count that would be great. I'm now experimenting on logparser to do some kind of log parsing to figure out exact counts, not sure whether whether it will work out or not!!

Thank You
