ASP SendMessage on x64, Plesk v10.4.4

Postby TheBourne » Sat Oct 12, 2013 6:33 pm

I have a VPS with Aruba:
- Windows Server 2008 r2 x64,
- Plesk v10.4.4
- with MailEnable Standard 6.0 (installed by plesk)
- IIS7.5

I would know if with this configuration is still possible to use API for sending email through ASP pages.
I ask because, even if it's brand new vps, i have problem loading CDOSYS.DLL, so i would like to use mailenable API,
but when i launch this code:

Code: Select all

<%
Dim oMail
Set oMail = server.CreateObject("MEMail.Message")
oMail.MailFrom = "peter@mailenable.com"
oMail.MailFromDisplayName = "Test Account"
oMail.ContentType = "text/html;"
oMail.MailTo = "peter@mailenable.com"
oMail.Subject = "Welcome to our service"
oMail.AddHeader("Reply-To: <youraddress@yourdomain.com>")
oMail.MessageBody = "<html><body><h1>Hello there,<BR>Welcome to our new service.</h1></body></html>"
oMail.SendMessage
%>

i get error:
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

test_mail.asp, line 30

800401f3

reading the documentation:

Note: The COM component is only 32bit, and will not work under 64bit websites, or
64bit applications. It is recommended that you use the .NET System.Net.Mail
namespace to send email for any new applications or sites.

By the way, nowdays x64 servers are quite common, is it possible that x64 is still not supported ?

Thank you

Surfing on google, i saw that only Professional and Enterprise version of Mailenable give COM support.

Unluckly, we have only Standard.
In fact, i see MEASP.dll is missing.

Sorry for it
