I have a question. If I smarthost a domain will the pickup event still happen? I have read that I can setup MailEnable on an Internet Viewable machine and then have it deliver to an in house system that is not viewable from the net. But will the mail delivery event still happen?

If the event does happen can you modify the mail on the fly (add a footer / X-Extentsion, etc) before delivery to the smarthost?

Yes

Yes

Yes - there are examples on the download page from the mailenable web site.

All messages that are received by mailenable will pass through the MTA and will therefore be processed via the MTA pickup event
