Stopping Backscatter

Post by ahicks » Wed Jun 05, 2019 2:25 pm

Can anyone direct me to information on how to stop Backscatter. It is becoming a major frustration point. Using ME Enterprise v10.24 on Windows server. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I stopped sending NDR's under failure notifications in the Delivery Tab of the SMTP properties. I've been getting nabbed on the Backscatterer list myself. It's annoying. I allow NDR generation to authenticated users only and have a copy sent to me.

You could try to check the box named “Authenticated senders must use valid sender address” and configure the postoffice connector to not send NDRs
