Does anyone have opinions on Black List Providers on topics like: speed, too restrictive, etc…

Wel, one I have had issues with is SpamCop. They tend to get just as menay legitimate e-mails banned as spam. I can run 4-5 others at once and not get nearly as menay issues as I have had with SpamCop.

adecrignis

anti spam and anti relay

i am more concerned of anti-relay then of anti-spam

i am using ORDB and Osirusoft

SPAMCOP don't know, but Spamhouse even rejected the smtp of my provider (which is a major french cable company)

disturbing
isn't it

adecrignis

so do I

i am also mostly concerned by open relay then by spam.

ORDB, and OSIRUSOFT, in fact it seems OSIRUSOFT is efficient.

spamcop and spamhouse would even refuse my ISP's smtp. thus they are useless

I am regularly and everyday attacked by relay temptations for at least 2 to 3 minutes every night. trying to send emails through my mailserver which get blocked anyway (only internal IP addresses are allowed). even pop retrieval is not allowed from the outside. If I need it I will buy the pro version and setup webmail.

pop from the web is dangerous.

you can get attacked numerous ways (DoS etc..)
have fun anyhow

complements for the excellent software and even support. I will possibly have it purchased anyway just to support the developpement effort.
