So My team is interested in trying Google Apps for email, and our email domain is currently hosted on a Mailenable server. Google has several options to allow a phased transition for testing or deployment, one of them being to route all message for users without Google mailboxes to an alternate host. Our email provider stated that Mailenable does not support anything like that. Is this true, or is there a way to create some @mydomain.com addresses on Mailenable, some on Google apps, and have them communicate properly?
Thanks in advanvance.

Re: Split Domain/Delivery with Mailenable
Hi,
Yes, you can do this within MailEnable. Under the domain properties in the administration program you can enable smarthosting. So smarthost mydomain.com to the IP address for Google apps SMTP server. When you do this, it will only smarthost for email addresses which don't exist in MailEnable. ie. the MailEnable server will always try to delivery locally before smarthosting. This way, emails for local mailboxes will be delivered locally, and addresses that are not configured on the MailEnable server will be sent to the IP address you configured. When you move a mailbox to the other service you can just remove the email addresses attached to that mailbox. Just don't have the remote server be configured to smarthost back to MailEnable the unknown addresses. This will make emails addressed to address which don't exist in either servers to bounce backwards and forwards until they are badmailed.

Re: Split Domain/Delivery with Mailenable
Does this option works??
If yes, please provide the steps to set the third party external mail server.
Means using the same domain I can use 2 mail servers.
