Suggestion - option for users to mark a mail as SPAM.

Post by Richiebaby » Fri Aug 18, 2006 12:03 pm

In Mewebmail, I suggest that there must be option for users to mark a mail as SPAM. which may then be used in the SPAM dictionary.
like in all other mail clients

Thanks

I totally agree. It would be nice to have this function in webmail....I think we could probably code ourselves

yes i like the idea... if they mark it as spam it gets copied to the .../MailEnable/dictionary/spam/ directory for processing in the Bayesian filter.

a batch file can be set run every night to copy any message from the "spam" to the dictionary directory.

Or how about a pair of buttons in webmail where the user can report spam/nospam by checking the email then click the appropriate button.

Configuration could be accomplished in a tab within the ME config screens and the function of the buttons would be to forward the raw html of the message to the spam/nospam addresses.

I would like to see an actual "Mark as Spam" button in the webmail other than just when you right click.

Example:
| <Reply | <<Reply All | Forward > | x Delete | Mark as Spam |

ALSO:
where would we be able to change the text "mark as spam"? i would like to change it to the same phrasing hotmail uses "Report and Delete".
