64-bit edition

Post by rfwilliams777 »

I assume that the core of ME is 32 bit. Is it possible to make a 64-bit edition that is seperate so it can take advantage of the benefits of 64-bit systems?

Hi,

MailEnable 8.x is 32-bit and 64-bit compatible. If you installed MailEnable prior to version 7 then services may have been configured to run as 32-bit and when upgrading to version 8.x it would not change them to run as 64-Bit. Check Windows task manager to see if the MailEnable services are running from the "BIN64" path. This will indicate if they are running as 32-bit or 64-bit. if they are running as 32-bit then review the following article to change them to run as 64-Bit:
