Log file date format

I asked about this way back in 2005 but . . .

Why do we still have no choice but American dates (mm/dd/yy) in the logs? Surely it can't be that hard to provide an option.

So, 15 Years on...

We need sortable date format in the log files

- YYYY/MM/dd

Why is this not standard in this crazy world?

It could be something to do with the huge number of people who jumped in to support the idea.
