Disk IO High Webmail very slow

Post by supportweb »

Hi All

We are running Mailenable enterprise 10.43 with the fix applied
We have a lot of customers who prefer to use webmail.
Recently we have been getting an increasing amount of support tickets mentioning the webmail takes long to load, login and browse mail and send.

Are there any ways we can speed this up?
any guidance would be appreciated.

What are the system recommended hardware

We have on average 150-200 imap connections a day
as well as webmail connections.

What amount of Ram would you recommend in this case?

Monthly I archive the logs and then run defrag on my drives. If you have a new enough version of Windows Server, you can run disk cleanup. That may help some with performance.
Beyond that, I will add a little bit of advice: make sure that people's Inboxes are pruned down to the fairly recent emails with older than XX months archived in other folders. Also do not have any subfolders under Inbox; rather have individual folders from the root. This helps so Inbox loads faster.
