howto on sms generic interface

could someone help me understand exactly what i need to do to get a samsung galaxy android to be the generic serial interface for sms? the doucmentation leaves a lot to be discovered. is a cellphone an appropriate device? i do have an otg cable.

if not a cellphone, what device.

what do i do to get it to actually work.

wow. i noticed 24 views on the request and no response. the me documentation (from what ive found after spending some time on it) says exactly nothing on how to get the generic interface working. noting on cabling, devices etc. nothing.

so if you know something about getting a cellphone to be a proper device and actually let me exterprise actually send sms that way, please help.

yipes. after posting the request to find some decent info on getting sms to work on me, 70 views of the post and no replies.

so i have to conclude that with me v10.49, the sms generic interface option simply does not work. oh well. i wanted to hook an otg cable to a cellphone and my me session.
