SMTP Inbound Queue Not polling Or Queue Removed

Help,

I have about 800 msgs in the inbound queue and the "POLLED" time keeps counting up. If I restart the MTA, the Poll time resets to 0 and some of the queue entries get processed but then stops again the the Poll time counts up. I have no Pickup Events on the system. Virus Checking is turn off. No Filters enabled.

Since the mailings (99%) where headed to the Smart Host and they where important, I manually stop/start the MTA system service until the queue was cleared. Ugh! Once the queue was cleaned out, the Poll count never went above 1 sec.

I need some answers because these emails are a daily occurrence and this ticked off management today which does not look good for me. They want answers.

Firstly you should upgrade to the latest version of MailEnable. If the problem still exists after this then the reason will be one of the following:
