Postoffice Connector Service Stopping

Post by dslchiphead »

In the past few weeks the "Postoffice Connector" service has been stopping (4 times now). We have a 2-node cluster and this happens on both nodes (but at different times during the same day). I checked all ME logs and it shows nothing. The SF log just stops logging entires at the point when the service fails. The Windows System Event Log just notes the event 7034 as "The MailEnable Postoffice Connector service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s)."

This has never happen in the past and no system upgrades have taken place. We at this time can't upgrade to a newer version of ME due to funding.

ME Enterprise V3.63.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please apply the following netfix patch which contains fixes to the postoffice connector.

Follow the steps below on how to apply the fix:

1. Download the fix from: http://www.mailenable.com/hotfix/NETFIX_10-03-11.zip
2. Stop all the MailEnable services within the administration console.
3. Exit the administration console.
4. Close the Metray.exe utility within the Windows task bar
5. Navigate within the MailEnable installation path to the BIN folder and move out the following files for backup purposes:
- MailEnabel.Administration.dll
- MailEnable.Store.dll
- MEAINFY.dll
- MEDKAdmin.exe
- MEHTTPS.exe
- MEIMAPS.exe
- MEPOC.exe
- MESMTPC.exe
6. Extract a copy the contents of the downloaded .zip file to the BIN
folder.
7. Restart all the MailEnable services and perform your tests.

Please advise of your problems persist.
