Mail Redirection problem

Post by mrito » Mon Oct 08, 2012 7:24 am

Hi List,
Its been several months had passed since we discover the issue on MailEnable Webmail Mail Redirection. We have several emails accounts which we create from our Parallel Plesk Panel and mostly are email accounts which we use as Group Email Address for company projects. We can view on Plesk Panel group email forwarding that the correct list of members are correct but when we check it on Mailenable Mail Redirection textbox, some of the email address are not included and we learned from the users that some of them do not receive emails sent to that group email. How could it happen that from Plesk Panel the expected recipients are included but in Mailenable Mail Redirection textbox they are not included? Could that be a bug on Mailenable or only compatibility issue only of Plesk & Mailenable?

Sometimes also we encounter a double comma symbol inserted on Mailenable Webmail Mail Redirection textbox, could that be a bug or compatibility issue only of Plesk & Mailenable as well?

We will appreciate your good advise.

Regards,
Malvin

Hi,

Not too sure I understand when you refer to "Mailenable Mail Redirection textbox". When you create a group within MailEnable you will find the group under: Messaging Manager > Postoffices > (postoffice name) > Groups. Therefore not to sure how Plesk goes about adding the group to MailEnable. In any case you can create the group directly within MailEnable under "groups" and add the relevant members to the group.

That is under the Redirection Tab of Mailenable Webmail. We do not have direct access on Mailenable Server and we normally manage email accounts via Plesk Panel only and Mailenable Webmail.

Hi,

Well you will need to contact your provider hosting the MailEnable server. If Plesk is adding them as a redirection and not under groups within MailEnable then I would presume the members list is hitting the limit as you can only have 100 redirected addresses for a mailbox and thus why you probably don't see all members addresses within the redirection field. You should mention to your provider about providing you access to the MailEnable web administration interface which will allow you to manage the postoffice and create the group within the web administration interface.
