Avoid Duplicate Mail Copying

Post by shajuthomas »

Hi,
MailEnable Enterprise Premium server (v 6.59) is configured with 4 post-offices which are (for ease of understanding I'm using short names)

1. A.com
2. B.com
3. C.com
4. D.com

Pls advise a solution for having the below feature on individual post offices:

Whenever an email is received in a particular mail box in any post office, a copy of that incoming email should go to another mail box INMAIL@A.COM as a backup copy. At present, a filter is enabled for this purpose but it copies the same email multiple times depends on the number of TO, CC, BCC addresses in that mail, ie. if there are 3 recipients for the same email, it copies 3 emails to INMAIL@A.COM. This duplication of the same mails need to be avoided ie. if there a 3 recipients for the same email, it should make only one copy to the backup mailbox by checking the header of that email.

The same scenario for all the outgoing mails as well ie; making a copy of all outgoing email to OUTMAIL@A.COM without duplicating same emails.

For keeping separate backup email copies of all the post-offices, the same filter can be applied to another domains B.COM, C.COM and D.COM as well.

So, kindly provide a procedure for enabling the above mentioned feature INDIVIDUALLY in all the post offices in the single installation of MailEnable server.

Thanks
Shaju Thomas
