[SOLVED] IMAP no longer works after Security Update 3.6.4

Post by AlDo »

IMAP no longer works after Critical Security Update 3.6.4.

Clients are unable to connect to IMAP service.

Outlook 2010 returns: 0x800CCC0E error code.
MailEnable:
04/22/13 19:17:59 Inbound Connection from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port 993 (SSL)
04/22/13 19:18:14 Socket=[1184] Command=[] Host=[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Status=[10060].The connection has timed out.

Please notice that just installed the update some services (such as IMAP) not restarted because of the wrong path.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\MEIMAPS
ImagePath = "\MEIMAPS.exe" instead of
ImagePath = "C:\PROGRA~1\MAILEN~1\BIN\MEIMAPS.exe"

Same problem here.

After update, service MEIMAPS had wrong path, once corrected service starts, but when i telnet it after every command it answers: "BAD UNKNOWN command"

Just to add from my perspective, 3.65 has solved the issue too.. services register and start correctly and IMAP now working for clients..

Thanks

I know this is slightly a different topic but still related to the upgrade so posting here as hopefully one of you can verify this for me, but in the webmail I am getting an error now when trying to "get attachment" - can anyone check to see if they get an error too please?

thanks

steve

I can confirm a runtime error on webmail trying to download an attachment.

Okay at least it is not just me then.. thank you.

on closer checking I can see this error:

Could not load file or assembly 'Ionic.Zip, Version=1.9.1.8, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=edbe51ad942a3f5c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I guess that may not have been included in the package!

Hi,

3.66 contained the fixes you required for web mail and IMAP. Have you since upgraded to 3.66?

Hi Ian, thank you.

I solved following the directions of Steve before v3.66 was available (which I installed a while ago).
