IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
Since upgrading to Ent 7.06, IMAP does not work.
If i stop/start IMAP, it works for short time and again stops working.
Please advise urgently.
Regards,
Nik

Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
In the error logs are you getting a ton of these.
04/22/13 20:35:15 ME-E0125: Connection Refused: (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) was refused because the inbound connection limit has been reached.
04/22/13 20:35:15 ME-WXXXX: Socket Cleanup: closesocket on socket (2420) from (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) returned error: 10038.
We are experiencing the same thing and I had posted a few days ago about this and have gotten no word on it. In the mean time, we have increased the max inbound connection on the IMAP service and seems to last a little longer between have to stop/start the IMAP service again.
Also, in the MailEnable System Tray its not showing any connections for the IMAP service, or any other service like it use to.
What i think is going on is that there maybe a counter or something that's not getting reset, so the limit is 100 connections, once 100 has been opened, it crashes out, doesn't reset itself once a connect has been closed. We've have never had more than 100 concurrent connections at a time, and the previous version we were using we were getting by on only having a max of 60 connections.

IMAP sessions will stay connected, you can view the current number of connections via the Mailenable 7 MMC. You may need to increase this a lot or just switch it to unlimited. Adjusting the timeout can help with this as well.

No you can't view the current number of connections via the MailEnable 7 MMC. Like i said before the current version 7.0.6 does not show any of the current connections (imap, smtp, pop, etc...) The older versions use to show this, but the current version has a bug, atleast in the 64bit on windows 2008 r2.

Which MMC are you using? Does it look like the old one or are you looking at the new interface?

Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
Increasing number of connection can be temporary solution. After few hours, when no. of connection increases substantially, effecting server performance.
The real problem is IMAP connections remain open even after idle timeout period. (tried downgrading, but problem persists)
Need urgent solution.

How much RAM is on this server, approx how many users use IMAP, roughly where do you see it wigging for the number of connections?

Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
We also need an immediate fix to this. This is getting very old having to stop/start the IMAP service one or more times a day. Where is MailEnable Support? Looks like they've kind of abandoned the forums lately.
Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
We have 16GB Ram. About 200 IMAP users.
No. of connection was kept at 100 with 360 idle timeout. This was working without any issues for long. Since update (and then downgrade) to 7.06, IMAP service does not work after some time.
Changed it to 300 connections, IMAP works for longer time but fails after that.

Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
7.06 does in fact show the number of IMAP connections, please verify you are using the new MMC not the old one. You can also view the number of IMAP connections and who is connected via the system overview, right click the ME system tray icon click on "Open System Overview" then click on "Real Time Activity" and scroll down to IMAP section.

Re: IMAP does not work after upgrade to 7.06
We believe we have isolated this issue and have a solution for this problem.
It will be included in the 7.07 release (which will be formally released tomorrow).
We do have release candidate kits that have been provided as patches to raised tickets (since the issue has been reported through the ticket system - and the patch supplied has been reported to have addressed the problem).
These are available here:

http://www.mailenable.com/enterprise707.exe
http://www.mailenable.com/professional707.exe
