TLS issue with GMAIL

Post by crnunez » Fri Feb 07, 2014 1:44 am

Hello friends,
I can discover an issue when I enable TLS, I select an SSL certificate, etc. TLS is only enable but I don't use it. The problem is when anyone send mails from @gmail.com in this case GMail has a delivered messages as:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification
Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

admin@anydomain.xxx

Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)

Technical details of temporary failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain zonahosting.net by mail.anydomain.xxx. [xx.xxx.xx.xxx].

The error that the other server returned was:
454 TLS not available due to temporary reason

Do you know any solution for this issue with GMAIL and TLS?
Thanks.

I am giving shared hosting service to my clients. I saw that there is only one certificate option for all the domains. If I configure an SSL certificate to my server's mail server domain name (mail.domain.com) will all the other domains work with that certificate without any problems? Or that option is not recommended for shared hosters?

Hi,

If your server is responding with "454 TLS not available due to temporary reason" it means that MailEnable is not able to use the certificate that you have selected. ie. it is not able to provide TLS. If you restart the SMTP service and examine the SMTP Debug log it will indicate the problem. We have an article regarding this at:

Likely you just need to set permissions to allow the Windows account the SMTP service runs under access to the certificate:

3. Expand the Personal->Certificates branch to list your certificates. Right click the certificate you are going to use and select All Tasks->Manage Private Keys.

Manage Private Keys is missing.

Thanks for give me other option.
