Webmail, IE11 -> can't login

Post by Dukeman »

Currently running the latest version of ME Enterprise (8.04) and I'm not able to login to the webmail portal with IE 11.

When I want to login the loginpage raises a Javascript error "Can't find function __DoPostback"

Running the login page in other browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) works without any problem an I can login succesfully.

Looking in the source of the login-page the __DoPostback function does exists in Chome (and the others), but not in IE.
When I usse the developer tools in IE to set the UserAgent string to IE 10, the problem also occurs, setting it to IE9 I can login.

The WebAdmin page is working without any problems, I can login.

ME is running on a Win2003 Server under IIS 6.

Anyone any idea how to solve this problem?

I didn't clear it before, because it was a fresh install. Cleared the cache now, but this didn't help unfortunately.

Installed the new Beta version, but the problem remains:
SCRIPT5009: __doPostBack not defined
File: login.aspx, Line: 60, Column: 17

For anyone who may be interested: I found the solution.

I'm running MailEnable on a Windows 2003 server with IIS6, which (by default) doesn't have the correct BrowseCap files for the latest IE browsers. Microsoft has published a HotFix to update this. After installing the HotFix IE 11 is recognized and Webmail works!

Hotfix info:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600088 (asp.net 4.0)
