Hi,
When I restart SMTP service, I see in the DEBUG logs the following message:
Unable to save queue statistics for service. The service account may not have permission to write to the registry path SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MailEnable\MailEnable\Connectors\SMTP, Item "Inbound Delivery Count".
In order to fix this, I go to MEInstaller and execute "Apply registry permissions for IME_ADMIN, IME_USER, IME_SYSTEM", then the log of the execution shows:
Successfully granted account IME_ADMIN /read access to SOFTWARE\Classes
Successfully granted account IME_USER /read access to SOFTWARE\Classes
Did not grant account LOCALSYSTEM /full access to SOFTWARE\Mail Enable: This version of Windows does not have this account.
As you can see, the last one gives an error. This problem I get in 2 different environments: Windows 2008 and 2012.
I added manually IME_SYSTEM in the registry: SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MailEnable\MailEnable
But I don't know if there are other permissions in the registry I must set, and if this affects ME services (when permissions are not correctly set by the software). Could there be a fix for this issue, please?

Re: Registry Permission Error
Hi,
Did you run the MailEnable installer as an administrator?

Re: Registry Permission Error
Hi,
I just installed 6.87 on a brand new windows 2012 R2 image and did not experience any issues with setting registry permission settings for the IME_SYSTEM account. SMTP logs did not report any errors either.
