Calendar and Event Issues

Post by netmo » Thu Jan 14, 2016 4:54 pm

Hi There, we would like to upgrade to version 9 from 8.61 and was hoping the following will be fixed with the new release?

- Adding calendar events from mac OS to caldav won’t work
- Caldav won’t accept meeting request on MAC OS
- Adding modified meeting request to a recurring meeting deletes all recurring appointments and leaves only the modified meeting request in webmail
- Events in mailenable web have their time change on their own without user making any changes
- Sending meeting request from GMT - 6 does not show up correctly as GMT -5 when recipient receives the meeting request from webmail or mac OS email client
- When adding shared calendar through mac calendar subscription the calendar shows up blank

We would like to continue with maileable and ugprade to version 9 but users are asking if these have been fixed in order to make the upgrade worth wile.

Some really funny happened today running 8.61.

Try adding a calendar event AFTER 28th of march. All day event in webmail.

Look in outlook and see what happens. Then delete it and add the same all day event in outlook.

VOILA.... i have seen discrepancies between 1hr and a whole day...

Now THAT is scary. Users cant trust the calendar at all. And that makes things more or less unusable.

Hi,
- Adding calendar events from mac OS to caldav won’t work
>> I have tested this using 9.02 and did not have any issues adding calendar events via iCal on a mac. Perhaps you should first upgrade to version 8.62 via the link below which will contain the same updates as 9.02 to the "Synchronization" service.

http://www.mailenable.com/beta/Enterprise862.exe

- Caldav won’t accept meeting request on MAC OS
>> How did you create the meeting request? When you say it doesn't accept the meeting request can you provide more information? I.e: are there errors returned? I was able to accept a meeting request sent from the web mail client by double clicking on the attached .ics file in the received message.
- Adding modified meeting request to a recurring meeting deletes all recurring appointments and leaves only the modified meeting request in webmail
>> This occurs because web mail doers not support exceptions for reoccurring events.
- Events in mailenable web have their time change on their own without user making any changes
>> Can you provide more detail or examples? Is the mailbox calendar accessed by other services and calendar clients?
- Sending meeting request from GMT - 6 does not show up correctly as GMT -5 when recipient receives the meeting request from webmail or mac OS email client
>> Please update to 8.62 to see if this still occurs.

- When adding shared calendar through mac calendar subscription the calendar shows up blank

>> This was a problem that was addressed in 8.62 and version 9.x kits. Therefore please upgrade and retest.

>> This is a MAPI connector bug which is logged and is being addressed.
