File Collaboration

Post by onlyamd4000 » Tue Sep 13, 2016 6:22 pm

Is there any way to share office documents via mailenable services? I can place raw files in the public folder (.xlsx, .docx, ect.) but when another user tries to view the file they get "this file is corrupt" message. Is this a file permission issue or is mailenable not able to facilitate this collaboration? If I place the raw file in the public folder, I am able to view, edit just fine.

The only way to publishing files is using "MyFiles". If you are trying to move raw doc files into public folders via Outlook IMAP it will not work. You need to install the MailEnable MAPI connector for Outlook and move the file into the MyFiles node. Then the only way to publish the file is via the web mail. This will allow users to access the file via a published URL.
