Using 2 domains with SSL

Post by sagelike »

Hi there,

Is it possible to run two domains with SSL on Mailenable for both webmail and other mail services?

I want to switch to new domain, eg: mail.xyz.com and webmail.xyz.com to mail.abc.com and webmail.abc.com

However since most clients will still be using the old domain, I want to ensure the original SSL bindings still work.

I purchase an SSL with SANS for the new domains as well as old.

Thanks
G

Hi,

If you are going to bind the new SAN certificate the existing web mail binding and new binding then this is ok. You will also need to change the SSL certificate binding within MailEnable to point to the new SAN certificate. Otherwise without a SAN certificate your users that connect via the new host name will get certificate trust issues.
