How to Setup IP address in Mail Relay in CIDR Format

Post by naikmanish »

Greetings,

We wish to add IP address of ElasticEmail service as an allowed IP addresses for Mail relay without authentication.

However, the address for elasticemail are too many and are in different IP ranges across the world. These IP address ranges are in CIDR format. So if I really do it using a per IP address then it would be too cumbersome. How can I add IP address ranges as allowed IP addresses ?

For e.g. a couple of Elastic Email IP address ranges are as follows :
5.135.31.128/27 (32 addresses)
5.135.241.64/26 (64 addresses)
5.196.146.128/25 (128 addresses)
37.59.131.32/28 (16 addresses)
37.59.169.64/28 (16 addresses)
46.105.146.0/25 (128 addresses)
51.254.70.0/26 (64 addresses)
67.227.85.0/24 (256 addresses)
67.227.87.0/24 (256 addresses)

How do I add these are allowed IP for mail relay without authentication without typing in IP address by IP address ?

Thank you all for your help

Warm Regards

Greetings,

It seems nobody has an answer to this, including the MailEnable team !

Anyway, can somebody direct me as to where to write these addresses, I mean in which file so I can at least make a list of all the addresses individually and make this work. If I have to do this one IP at a time from the Mailenable interface, it would kill me, so if somebody can guide me to the exact file where I can write these addresses it would help me immensely.

By the way, these are about 12000 addresses so I hope Mailenable does not have a limit on these ! yes there are 12000 or more addresses because some of the ranges are /20 addresses also !

Thank you

Warm Regards

Hi,

MailEnable allows you to add IP ranges using wildcards (*). We do not provide the option to add IP's to the relay list in CIDR format.

You can add the IP addresses to the SMTP-ACCESS.TAB file located within the "Config". Open the file up in Windows Notepad and add each IP address on a new line. There is no restriction on the amount of IP;s you can add, however, a very large list will slow the lookups during an SMTP transaction and impact on the SMTP services performance.
