Renaming a mail domain

Hi there,

I have to renamed a domain and I've tried using RenamePO.exe and it never works.

Is there another way to Safely rename a domain name without breaking everything?

Hi,

Do you need to rename the domain under a postoffice or you need to rename the postoffice? If postoffice the only way is using the tool. When you say it doesn't work can you elaborate? Are there errors returned?

Hi Ian,

I need to rename the postoffice to a new domain name so that all email addresses switch from abc.com to xyz.com.

When I try and use it, nothing happens. It just seems to freeze.

Would disabling SMTP help?

I got it working. I needed to shutdown all services.
