Deleted Items not being Purged

Running the Mailbox Cleanup Agent and it does not seem to be deleting things from the actual mailboxes even though I have the limit set to 7 days.

The log file is showing a large number of items in the folder:

If I go in to the folder, I can see emails going back in to June.

What am I missing, its not just this one domain or mailbox, its many and Junk folders also ?

So 24 hours later, the purge process has run again but nothing has actually been deleted from the Deleted Items or Junk folders.

Any ideas or is this a bug ?

So another 24 hours and the process has run again.

It started to delete some emails from the deleted items folder and after a few hundred just stopped.

If did not process any other mailboxes or post offices.

Hi,

You need to check the created date of the mai to see if it meets the criteria you have set in the mailbox cleanup agent. The purging agent checks the created date of the message file.

OK, thanks, I thought it would be on the date in the email as that is the true time.

Modified: Tuesday, ‎June ‎16, ‎2020, ‏‎7:10:09 AM
Access: ‎Saturday, ‎July ‎11, ‎2020, ‏‎6:47:49 AM

I understand the created and accessed dates being newer as I just moved server, but they are all over 7 days which is my cutoff for deletion.

Am I missing something here ?

For a managed response, yes. Will be easier for a tech to gain access to the server to check further.
