Port SMTP allow authentication
If I remove the authentication option for port 25, I will continue receiving/sending emails from the other mail servers, I want to avoid authentication on the exposed port 25 to avoid account blocking, the documentation does not make it clear to me

Re: Port SMTP allow authentication
Hi,
Yes, you can disable authentication on port 25. Under the Port Settings in the admin program under the SMTP settings, set the drop down to "Never allow authentication". It will still accept email, but authentication will not be permitted - users would need to use another port for authentication.
For account blocking, do you mean the Lock out option under the Policies? We recommend not to use this anymore, but instead enable the "Enable abuse detection and prevention" which will block the connecting IP address, not the mailbox.

Re: Port SMTP allow authentication
If it's the policy blocking option, thank you very much for the clarification.
