Hi there
Activesync licensing server has been down for more than 12 hours without any notification or update from ME.
Can someone at ME please respond and provide us with an update.
Thank you

Re: EAS licensing server is down 12 hours and counting and still no word from ME
I kinda found the problem. It appears my upstream DNS provider could not find the ME license server for some reason and changing one of the DNS servers to google fixed it. Not my preferred solution but it worked. It didn't occur to me that this was a DNS issue as I've never seen this problem before. First time for everything I guess.
dnschecker.org is able to resolve DNS to mailenable.com from all DNS servers except opendns. I don't know if that's a problem or if DNS is being affected in other regions but in Western Canada, it was a problem.
Some kind of reply from ME would have been helpful however. If I'd known there wasn't a problem with the license server, I would have begun investigating other possibilities, like DNS. I also submitted a support ticket and there was no response.

Missing response was the reason we moved to S-Martermail.

Re: EAS licensing server is down
Lack of forward upgrade paths while continuing to pay AUP and decline in release quality was ours.
I commented on another thread re: automation of Let's Encrypt and all the issues operators have because ME has to be re-started to pick up the new certs. I failed to make the connection of why we don't have that problem until I remembered that we've had to have our ME services on manual restart daily since January in order to keep them stable. That's why we never have the issues with our Let's Encrypt SSLs because we have scheduled tasks that restart ME daily. I should probably go update my response there.
