Error (MTA-1010): Message (8B88F24790A64A3DB943AA61477A.MAI) from (POP) could not be delivered as an infinite message loop was detected.

Can anyone please help out in determining what the problem might be?
I know that it is in a loop but how do I fix it?

Thank you

SMTP Outbound folder and Scratch Folder

Post by former_marine »

I have one message in the outbound folder that I can not delete or send. I also have 1,379 objects in C:\Program Files\Mail Enable\Scratch. What are these? Does anyone know what these objects represent?

Re: C:\Program Files\Mail Enable\Scratch

Are you running real time a/v protection. You need to exclude mailenable queues and scratch directory from real time protection.

Also what A/V scanner are you using with mailenable

bad mail folder

I am using F-Prot. Are these messages that have been put there by my A/V? How can I get those messages back?

The messages are probably there because you are running the Real Time Protector and it is causing contention with the scanning process. You can delete anything thats in the scratch directory.
