Hi,

You can create a filter that will pickup all file extensions specified in the filters file extension list. The correct filter criteria to use is "Where the message has attachments". Select that criteria and then double click it to open the file extension list. Add the file extensions you would like to be matched up by the filter and delete any extensions that you would not like to get matched.

Cool now can you just strip the attachment instead of deleting the whole email.

Hi,

I have been informed that it is in the To-do list, not to sure when it will be avaliable though, depending on the priority of other issues.

On the developer part of the me website, there is a vbscript that you can use to strip certain attachment. I believe it was originally conceived to help prevent viruses. It worked well for us.

The script on the web works well for attachments, have a look around, I know a number of people have enhanced it to report the removed attachments also.

This thread is over a year old, still no "strip attachments" feature - any hope for this?

If there was a [MESSAGE_BODY] tag you could use in your notification template, that would be an acceptable solution too (although this would of course mean that all attachments would be "stripped", regardless if only one of them contained a virus - a minor issue in my world)
