F-Prot version 6

Post by jadeweb »

Hi all :)

I've have been using Clamwin with Mailenable for the last 12 months but it is getting too hungry with the CPU. I've been trying out F-Prot 6 instead to see how it goes and it seems much less CPU intensive.

The only problem so far is that messages containing viruses seem to disappear rather than going into the ME quarantine directory as they did with Clamwin. I've tried playing with the /disinfect and /report parameters but still can't find where the offending messages end up.

Under messaging manager > filters in ME I have set the following actions to happen when a virus is found ...

- copy message to quarantine
- delete message
- notify address

Has anyone had any luck setting up F-Prot 6 with the quaratine directory in ME?

Thanks in advance for any help
