Warning: A/V Issues - Virus Getting Through

Postby MartynK » Thu Aug 27, 2009 7:05 am

I am seeing a number of instances where viruses are not getting picked up by the AV scanners. I use both F-Prot and NOD32 so everything is scanned twice, but they are not getting some .exe files that are contained on .zip files.

When I download the email attachments, I get a local catch with the system telling me that they are not cleanable when I do a manual scan.

So it seems something is going wrong somewhere. I have sent samples to F-Prot to see if they can workout whats going on as not even the realtime AV picks it up.
