win 2k8 r2+plesk 9.3 AND mailenable Pro 3.51

Postby martindepijper » Thu May 20, 2010 7:19 am

Hi all,

we have a an issue with the combination windows 2008 R2 (x64 ofcourse), Plesk 9.3 and mailenable Professional 3.51. Although they do work together, mailenable stops working correctly when larger amounts of emails are being sent. A manual stop&start of all mailenable services relieve the growing queues of filling up but this is not the answer I want and need for this server. It hosts a multitude of sites which in turn send periodically mailinglists.

Before the migration from a win2k3 server, plesk 8.6 and mailenable pro with the same number of sites and the same periodically mailinglist boom this was not an issue-ever.
Logs show that a sometimes few emails cannot be sent as the addressee is unknown or the destination server is unavailable but this should not be the bottleneck for mailenable. Again, only a manual stop&start of the mailenable services is the only solution. A single restart of the smtp service (as suspected culprit) is not enough.

Does anyone have the same issue or even better: a solution to this irritating and unnecessary problem?

Kind regard,

Martin

Plesk has integration to the MTA, you might want to temporarily disabled the Plesk MTA Event class (search KB for instructions) to see if that helps with your issue

Then also try upgrading to the latest 3.63 version available for MailEnable 3.x releases at http://www.mailenable.com/downloadprevious.asp
