MxScan lite not updating ClamAV

I have a ME5 setup on Windows 2003 that is running MxSCan lite for AV scanning. The ClamAV update no longer works, it is version 96.5. Even if I try to manually update it from with the MXScan Config Mgr. It returns
Warning: Your CLAMAV installation is outdated

The result at the end is that I had a "Connection (network) problem"

I cannot see that ver 96.5 has been retired at clamav.net, and I do not see a away to update the ClamAV install thru MSCAN, but anyway hoping someone else might have seen this before and can give me some advice.
