Restrict Inbound Mail Host

Post by R144N »

Hi There,

I have recently subscribed to SpamExperts Online Cloud Filter which filters inbound mail and then delivers it to my SMTP server.

Some Spammers are circumventing this by directly sending to my server.

SpamExperts have said that I should restrict who can send mail to my server by blocking all mail except if received from host: delivery.antispamcloud.com

How do I do this?

I see an "Access Control" button in the SMTP Properties' Inbound Tab but think this only blocks or allows IP addresses to Send From my server?

I would appreciate any assistance with the above.

Kind Regards,
Riaan

Riaan,
have you been able to accomplish this? I am trying to do the same thing and have the same question.
Did you ever hear back from ME?

Normally, you just restrick SMTP traffic to only the cloud filter. Set your firewall to block all but allow the IP block from the cloud filters. That way if they don't use your publicly listed MX records to send email, then your firewall will not allow them to talk to your mail server. Hope this helps.
