I'm using Mailenable Standard that came with my VPS. I need to add an alternate inbound port. When go to the mail settings page in Parallels beside the checkbox for "Switch on message submission" it says "(not supported by the mail server)" and the box won't stay ticked.
How do I get round this?

Re: Alternat SMTP port via Paralles
Hi,
If you need to enable an alternate port in MailEnable you will need to do this directly in the administration console. Please see:

Re: Alternat SMTP port via Paralles
I have made the change in the SMTP node and then stopped and started the SMPT service by right clicking on the node, but I still get a timeout when using port 587
Re: Alternat SMTP port via Paralles
I have made the change as per the attachment, and I can send on Port 25 but I get a timeout on port 587
I have a test email account - if you pm me I'll send the credentials
Thanks, Phil

I'd not opened port 587 in the Windows Firewall = now OK
